When I received my sample of Aventus Absolu, I can say I fell in love with Aventus all over again. Absolu was made spicy, sweet, and ambery.
While in the classic version the pineapple note, paired with bergamot, pierced through in the top notes, here pineapple with grapefruit creates a flowing texture, pouring out like juice. Absolu has retained the familiar Aventus structure of Ambroxan, Helvetolide, and patchouli, but now labdanum has been added, giving an ambery tone and adding even greater depth to the leather accord.
Knowing that I would never allow myself to spend more than €300 on such a secondary necessity as perfume, I decided to get an analysis and materials to recreate Absolu. After two attempts, I arrived at a successful composition that was hard to distinguish from the original.
Olfactory profile: citrus, fruity, spicy, woody, sweet, ambery, chypre.
Concentration: parfum.
