Beau de Jour

Beau de Jour is essentially a reassembled and slightly reinterpreted Zino, made from higher-quality components

It features an abundance of natural oils, generous by modern standards: several types of lavender, herbs, geranium, moss, patchouli — undoubtedly a tribute to the classic fougère style.

However, the fragrance has been modernized with sharp, ambro-woody materials that make the composition nuclear in strength and nearly impossible to wash off. I should probably be praising it for this, but I’ll be honest — I’m just telling it as it is. In the sillage, it smells a bit better, but up close on the skin, the sharpness stays from start to finish.

Nevertheless, Beau de Jour is a breath of fresh air in today’s world of overly sweet men’s fragrances.
