With over 60 ingredients under the hood, Sauvage Eau de Parfum retains the style of the Eau de Toilette version, yet introduces some changes both in technical parameters and olfactory profile.

In addition to higher concentration, the internal balance of the composition is slightly shifted toward the base notes. Ambroxan is increased by 3.5%, while Bergamot is reduced by a whole 11%. At the same time, lemon oil and yellow mandarin are added alongside it. Ambrocenide and Peonile, which previously gave a sharp, slightly metallic effect, are gone.

The dose of Dihydro Myrcenol is doubled, making the texture softer and denser. The spicy block now includes 1% nutmeg and 0.12% star anise. The fragrance also became noticeably more fruity thanks to the introduction of Allyl Amyl Glycolate and increased dosage of nearly all fruity components carried over from the EdT.

Overall, Sauvage EdP has a denser, balsamic, enveloping character, placing more emphasis on fruity sweetness and smoothly leading us toward the even sweeter Parfum version.

As for technical parameters: the EdP offers significantly better longevity, while the EdT still wins in projection thanks to its lower dose of DHM and the presence of Ambrocenide and Peonile. Personally, I would pick the EdT for its more complex balance of notes and its “dry desert” sensation, though I recognize that the EdP is an interesting development of the original Sauvage idea in higher concentration.

Olfactory profile: citrus, spicy, herbal, woody, ambery, sweet.
Concentration: eau de parfum.
