The original formula was created by a master perfumer who, in my humble opinion, is the best in the industry when it comes to fresh citrus compositions. The high price of this prototype is primarily due to one of the most expensive formulas I’ve ever worked with.

Tygar contains 20% of exceptionally costly Ambroxan, which forms the foundation of the entire composition. This concentration requires a massive budget for a brand, but at the same time, it serves as a safeguard against accurate copies appearing on the market. Even niche houses may lack the budget to include 20% Ambroxan in their version. This composition is so finely tuned that even a slight reduction in the concentration of this ingredient could completely disrupt the balance of the fragrance. As for me, I don’t recreate fragrances by the kilogram or ton, so I can afford to reconstruct the composition without cutting costs on materials or final concentration.

Technically, Tygar can be described as a master perfumer’s attempt to create everlasting citrus notes. The opening greets us with a juicy, fruity grapefruit, whose red nuances are supported by rose and magnolia-derived compounds from the heart. Ginger also plays a role in the top notes, adding a fresh and spicy nuance to the citrus.

Almost immediately after the opening, a dry, woody vetiver emerges straight from the base, acting as an extension of the grapefruit note. Ambroxan provides strong fixation, holding onto the highly volatile molecules, which creates the impression of an eternally fresh fragrance.

While recreating Tygar, I realized firsthand that the 20% dosage was almost mathematically calculated for optimal performance. The musks here are also well-chosen—they transform the final scent into a more delicate composition, softening the aggressiveness of the amber-woody notes.

Olfactory profile: citrus, woody, ambery.
Concentration: eau de parfum.
